Terms and Conditions
The fee category shall be based on the actual size of the vehicle, not the number of passengers. This means that luggage must fit within the luggage compartment of the vehicle. If a trailer is required, the fee for it is ISK 4,000 per day.
A special surcharge applies on public holidays. Public holidays include New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Pentecost, June 17th, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Eve.
When driving outside the regular national road network, on highland roads classified as F-roads, as well as on Kjölur and Kaldidalur routes, an additional charge applies to the entire journey. The same applies if a 4×4 vehicle is requested for the trip.
The renter shall provide the driver with food and accommodation during the trip at no cost to them.
On trips where full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) is not provided, drivers shall be compensated for ½ board. If meals are not provided to the driver, they shall be compensated according to the national travel cost committee’s driver per diem rates: ISK 7,750 for half board and ISK 15,500 for full board.
Drivers shall be accommodated in a single room with a made-up bed. If accommodation is in a lodge, tent, or sleeping bag, the driver must be compensated with ISK 17,500 per night.
The above prices include 11% VAT.
